I hope you guys are proud of me, This video footage was originally 40 minutes long and I had to cut it down to 13.5 minutes. New Friends

New School, New Friends
(tl;dr watch the video at the bottom)

Most of you are probably high school or college students (like me!) so I thought that I should maybe talk a little about making friends or moving to a new school. I have transferred between schools multiple times the past 5 years and I feel like I'm allowed to talk about this.
When you are in a new place, no one knows who you are and you are free to reinvent yourself. I'm not saying that you should lie about who you are and make up huge unbelievable stories, I'm saying that you have a chance to be the person you've always wanted to be. If you want to be seen as more mature, act the part. If you want to be more studious, work on your study habits. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. I'm not saying that you have to become the most popular person at the school but you should definitely talk to some people and get to know them. I find it easiest to make friends with people who are in multiple of my classes or neighbors that I see all the time on my way to school.
Right now I have a group of econ friends. They're the people that I took all my economics classes with and basically walked together from class to class every day. I only talked to them in class or in study group but I would definitely go up to them and say hi whenever I see them on campus. I would make friends with them if I weren't graduating soon but because of that, I have distanced myself from most people. I don't want to get attached just to never see them again.
I however, don't recommend that. If you are one of those people who need companionship, do the same thing when making friends and hang out with them on weekends outside of school. I do have one friend though who has been in every single one of my quarters (we use quarters instead of semesters) and that person I talk to outside of class. Other than that, hardly anyone unless there's homework involved.
I do recommend to always hold on to old friends. They say that the friends you make in school are the ones you keep for life. I definitely agree with that when it comes to my high school friends. Even though we meet up once a year, we always pick up right where we left off. And I know they will accept me and support me in anything I do because we've been through so much together and they've seen all sides of me.
I hope what I have said today has helped me in some way. Feel free to message me or leave a comment in the comments here or in the video about anything. I'm always online and I love replying to people. You can watch the video below, it basically says the same things but more fun. The editing definitely took awhile because of the jump cuts. Man jump cuts are so hard to do!

Leaving Home

Leaving Home and Moving Out

I was talking to my friend about this and I decided to make it into a video/post.

Video at the end

So in my culture it is customary to live at home with our parents until we get married. But as we are progressing into the modern era, it's more common to leave home once we have a stable job. I understand this so well. My parents pay for everything that I do but I was getting a little stir crazy living at home. I know I won't be getting a job any time soon because I can  hardly focus on school let alone another major obligation like a job! But I really needed out from under my parents' constant watch.
The good thing about going to university far away is that I get to experience what it is like to live away from my parents. I still live close enough to be able to go home every weekend, but they don't get to tell me what to do during the week. I'm not trying to sound ungrateful or spoiled, I love my parents and I'm super appreciative of everything they've provided for me in my life, I just needed a little freedom.
There was one point a few years ago where something major happened in my life and I just couldn't handle staying at home anymore. That came right before I moved out for school. I feel like school is the perfect opportunity because I know it's no temporary and I just need it to get the feel of what it will be like without them.
Of course it doesn't have to be temporary for you, I have friends who are staying where they went to school and some who moved out right after high school. But for me, I can't wait to go back home with my parents.

Some things I experienced from moving out:
-Cooking - I never cooked at home, my mom was one of those moms that did everything. I am still trying to survive every day. No daily instant noodles just yet though.
-Cleaning - We had a cleaner come to our house once a month and on the other days, my mom would do the cleaning. All I ever did was leave piles of stuff and my mom would get to it. Now that I'm on my own, I have to tell myself to wash the dishes right away, I have to mop or sweep, I have to dust and tidy things so it doesn't look too messy.
-Bills - I live in a place that just has a monthly rent so I don't really have to focus on rent, but I do see how important it is to not forget to pay every month.
-Lonely - This is probably the biggest one for me. It is so lonely here. I didn't get matched up with the roommate that I request and I don't particularly enjoy talking to any of the girls here so I'm pretty lonely throughout the week. I basically just sit in my room and go on youtube all day.

There are of course wonderful things about being away from home:
- No schedule - This can be good or bad depending on how you are. I like not having my mom come into my room at midnight and asking me "Why are you still awake? It's so late right now." But if you're a master procrastinator like me, you'll end up spending all day on youtube and not doing any homework.
-Snacks - This is what I was most excited about! When my sister and I used to go to the grocery store with our mom, we would always walk down the chip aisle and point out everything that we wanted. My mom likes sweets more than she likes savory snacks so we rarely have any at home. One day when I have my own home, I am so going to get a chip cupboard! Just every type out there!
-Sleeping - You can go to sleep and wake up at any hour without parents waking you up or telling you to sleep
-No one to bother you - This goes hand in hand with the lonely one and the schedule one. Basically there is no one to tell you what to do or to barge into your room to check up on you and see what you are doing. And there is no one to constantly berate you to do homework!!

Now that I have experienced these things, I can't wait to finish school and move back home. I was very happy during the summer being at home with my mom every day, we had a routine down and got along with each other. And now every Sunday when I have to drive to school again, I get super sad and reluctant to leave.

I made a video below saying the same things so if you don't want to read everything, just click play.

Pronouncing Words

There are just so many words that people say wrong or differently. Here I'm going to compare some.

-Supposedly: a lot of people pronounce it like "supposedbly" do you see how wrong it is? Say it right!
-Caramel: care-a-mel vs car-mal.
-Nutella: noot-ella vs nut-ella
-Squirrel/scroll: I just can't pronounce the 'r' sound. It's my issue
-Asterisk: aser-isk...how do you even pronounce this?

-One thing I absolutely hate when people say is "the reason is because"! Ummmm "the reason" means the same thing as "because". You can say "The reason is" or "Because" not both!

How to Get Better

What I do when I'm sick and how I get better faster :)
Video at the end.

So I decided to make this video because there's a girl outside my window coughing her lungs out and I've been having the sniffles lately on account of the changing weather. Here's some of my advice for what to do when you're feeling sick.
1. Take moltrin and sleep a lot
(Notspon) When I'm sick, I find it best to just sleep it off. Sometimes you get a fever which is what moltrin is for. It is a fever reducer and it also helps you sleep. I take one and sleep for 12 hours and feel better the day after!

2. Keep hydrated
Drink a lot of water! It'll help you go to the restroom and let out all the bad stuff in your system. Plus, it's healthy to drink a lot of water anyway.

3. Eat a lot
I always get super hungry when I'm sick and that helps me get well faster. You need nutrients for your body so that it can fight off the sickness. So it is very important to eat! When we had the flu, my mom would give us nongreasy food because anything oily would just go straight through us. She would make us toast (with nothing on it, butter if your stomach can handle it) or porridge which is just rice and water. It's better to be eating bland food than to be eating no food. Most important on this list!

4. Stock up on tissues
My nose is always running, I have puffs tissues on hand always!

5. Keep warm
Don't let your body get hurt from the cold. You should always cover your throat because it may lead to a cough. I like to wear a scarf and sweater and hat whenever I'm sick.

6. Keep clean!
I don't know how I forgot this, but you should definitely wash your hands a lot to get rid of the germs and to prevent it from spreading

Response to Feminism Video

Let's just start with this fact: I am not a feminist and I do not have enough knowledge on the topic to argue for or against it. Now let's continue.

Hey guys, I recently posted this video:

And I’ve been getting some negative comments on it. I know when putting things on the internet, we are subjected to scrutiny and judgment. I don’t mind at all when people talk about my looks because they all have their opinions and tastes. But when people make assumptions about how I think, that’s when I put my foot down.

I am rewatching the video as I type this so I can give an accurate explanation of what I was trying to convey in the video.

0:22 “Today, we are going to talk about the rules of feminism. No, yeah, no we’re not going to talk about that, I’m just kidding” As I said, this video is not about feminism. And I was trying to be funny by saying ‘rules of feminism’ like Gretchen Wieners did in Mean Girls. (Her line “That goes against the rules of feminism” and she was talking about dating a friend’s ex)

Heckling. The definition from google says “interrupt (a public speaker) with derisive or aggressive comments or abuse.” Yes, I am not a public speaker. And yes, the comments I’ve gotten aren’t aggressive or derisive (means mocking). BUT I think it is safe to say that the comments are unsolicited (definition: not asked for). I may have been wrong to use the word “heckling” for my video but I was right in thinking that it is unwanted and unsolicited attention. As mentioned in the video, I don't like people to look at me and that's because they feel like little bee stings on my skin. I do not like the attention nor do I want it.

I do have to be a hypocrite and say that I enjoy compliments sometimes. But that’s only from people I know and even then I will get embarrassed. I am a very social awkward person and generally don’t like social interactions so it is understandable when I say that I dislike people talking to me when I’m walking on the street minding my own business. And I definitely think it is rude to be making comments about a person’s looks (not just female) to their face/behind when you don’t even know them. You can talk about a person to your friend whom you are standing next to – although that’s probably gossiping and frowned upon but hey they’ll never know you’re talking about them.

Like I said at the beginning of the video, I’m not talking about feminism in the video and I definitely won’t be arguing for or against it. But I do think that if we do want equality, we should stop expecting the guys to carry our luggage and drive us to places and why not take up so jobs in construction? And as I learned in my labor economics class, the difference between men and women salaries disappear once you factor in what major they had in college. Generally males tend to go for the more science and math majors while females go for things like English or anthropology or sociology.

I’m definitely not informed enough about this subject to talk about it and I just want people to know not to make assumptions about what my views on something are just because I titled my video a certain way.

The Palms Review

This is my review for The Palms on University location in Riverside

First things first. You cannot pay me enough money to live here. You could probably pay me to destroy it. I might accept that.

Initial thoughts:
When I first walked into the apartment, I turned around to my mother and said "mom do I have to live here?" The place was FILTHY. The floors looked like everyone walked in with their wet boots after a rain storm. The stove was greasy and so were all the cabinets. I spent an hour cleaning the 4 burners on the stove. I DON'T EVEN COOK!!

Some things that have been constant since the first day I moved in:
The lock on the main door of the building does not have a working lock. I asked the front office the first week that I started living there. They said that they have to order a custom lock so that all the residents don't need to get a new key (and that they already ordered it) but it would take a few weeks to make. It is now December and they still haven't gotten this new lock.
Secondly, the gate to the car park has not been closed since the day I moved in. Correction: I saw it closed one time in December. But it was open again when I returned
December 10: The door to the building was torn off its hinges.
They got new hinges and put the door back
January first week back: they finally got a lock for our building
The days after, someone stuck a wrapper in the lock so it can just open. (I pulled it out) The next day, the lock was not functional anymore. Someone had loosened it from the door and it was just hanging on.
January 22: I returned to the apartment at 11am after a morning class. The lock was still loose but at least it was locking again. Around 8:30pm, my roommate comes back from her evening class and comes to my room to tell me that someone has taken the lock. As in it is no longer there!
Other issues:
The only place to dump our trash is around the corner next to the Taco Bell. Thanks for providing proper facilities for us (sarcasm intended)
The previously mentioned unlocked door was RIPPED OFF IT'S HINGES. I returned and saw that the door was ajar, When I reached to close it, I noticed that all three hinges were no longer attached. The door was still standing there but it could no longer be used as a door.
One of the other buildings I visited doesn't even have a doorknob. Anyone can just stick their hand in the hole and open the door.

Management change; They changed management some time in December and everything became better. The gate into the parking garage is always locked and they fixed the main door into the building in the first full week of January. These were my main concerns.

Will be update when I think of more stuff

Advent Calendar 2014

In one of my December 2014 vlogs, I went to Kmart and got an advent calendar for tween girls. It had nail polish and nail art supplies. The company who made it was called "Nail Graffiti" I believe. (You can find them here. #NotSponsored)   Here is everything that came in it:

Here is a video I made recording everything that is shown in the above picture.

Here I have close-up pictures of everything.
First we have 10 nail art design idea cards:

 Stickers and nail tattoos:
 Nail polishes and lip gloss:

4 pots of things you can glue to your nails:
More things to glue to your nails:

2015 Year of Greatness

Welcome to 2015! I do realize that this is late but I wanted to tell you guys what my resolution to 2015 is.

I have decided that instead of calling them 'resolutions', it would be less scary if we called them goals.

First, for 2015 my main goal is to finish school. I am counting down the weeks until I graduate!

My second one is to make 2015 the Year of Greatness! 2014 was so terrible in so many ways that I just want 2015 to be positive and successful. My friend and I have been in the talks for many interesting projects to come this year.

Thirdly, I plan to post every single day for a month. (Putting out content constantly means I will stay active and be used to it.)

A video saying the same things:

Tweet mentioned in my video:

Stay tuned to my 2015 page to see what else happens this year.

Tips to Surviving Online - How to Internet

Tips to surviving online

This is part 2 of my "How to Internet" series. A video for tip #6 will be released below along with bloopers that you can only view on here.

1.  Don’t send nudes! This must be the most obvious tip but the most important because people still do it. The receiver may want to get vengeance on you one day and post it online. That stuff spreads like wildfire.

2.  Don’t post pictures of yourself holding alcohol or while looking intoxicated anywhere a future employer or parent might see it. My rule is to never get photographed holding alcohol. It’s okay if it’s wine or champagne but it has to look classy.

3.  Don’t curse. Cursing on the internet or in real life is just immature. There are other words that you can use to get your point across.

Bonus video:

4.  Check your grammar. You don't have to be 100% perfect all the time but you don’t want to write something that a million people might see and put something like “did u c that?” That’s just embarrassing and shameful. If you’re trying to save on the character limit, combine words, take out the extra spacebar behind punctuation, or just write it in two posts.

5.  Show a level of professionalism. Unless your things are privated, everyone can see your content. Make sure the things that you put out online are things that you wouldn’t want to kill yourself if you grandma saw it. Maybe delete or private some of the older things… because unless you have some crazy stalkers or fans that screenshot everything you have ever put on the internet, there is always time to delete things.

6. PROTECT YOURSELF!! This is very important. Do not put out information that may allow people to stalk you. Do not allow anyone to contact you anonymously. People (including myself) get hate messages and that is usually when they let anonymous people message them. When I first started my Disney blog, someone wrote an anonymous comment calling me the c word. I took a screenshot, posted it on a Disney Facebook group and said “haha look what someone put, they probably don’t even know me.” Because honestly, they didn’t know me. Also, back in high school when Formspring was first getting popular, someone spent all night posting an essay one line at a time. I woke up to about 20 questions and they were mostly like “why does he even like you?” “You’re not worth anything” “You’re so thin that he’d probably just snap you in half.” Things like that. It’s a good thing I have high self-esteem or else that would have really gotten to me. I simply took screenshots of it and posted it on Facebook for all my classmates to see. I think I put a caption like “hey guys look what someone sent me through formspring. I really wish they would come forward instead of hiding behind a monitor.” A lot of people saw it and asked if I was okay. I was perfectly fine. I just hate when people hide behind their computer screen and try to hurt other people

Dealing With Acne

How To Deal With Acne

Acne! We all have it and we all hate it!
Now that I'm older, I have so many stories that I can tell about having acne. I am lucky enough to not get it that often anymore, it's more of a once every 1.5~2 months basis. My sister used to only get it on the back of her arms but now it's starting to grow on her face too. Mine has always been on my face but I heal quickly. Which brings us to number one:

1. Know your skin type.
From experience I know that my skin heals quickly and I don't scar easily. Make sure you know what your skin is like before picking or squeezing. Usually I wait for a spot/pimple to be ripe before squeezing it because if you don't, you'll just leave red marks on your face and not have accomplished anything. But generally it's not recommended to pick at acne.

2. Keep clean
If you do decide to pick or squeeze, make sure to wash your hands and tools (if you use tweezers or needles) before you touch your face! Wash everything again after you're done and don't touch your face for awhile, it's still a little sensitive.

3. Be nice to your skin
Your face is the first thing that people see, you want to treat it nicely. Wash your face the appropriate amount. Do not over wash (might end up drying your skin and causing it to flake off) and remember to moisturize. I have generally oily skin and I like to use oil blotting paper on my t-zone to avoid washing my face too often. If I do have to wash it throughout the day, I just use water. You should generally wash your face once in the morning and once at night. Even if you have oily skin, you need to moisturize to put the necessary oils into your skin to protect it. Sunscreen is also highly recommended because the sun has harmful rays and even though you can't see it, it is affecting your skin under the surface.

4. Makeup
No matter how much you think you need it or want to use it, you don't. Using makeup is actually terrible for your skin. You're basically covering it and not allowing it to breathe. This is results in getting unwanted things into your pores. I have noticed the people who use a lot of makeup generally us it to cover up blemishes. This is actually ironic because using makeup actually makes it worse than not using makeup. It is more likely to go away if you have a fresh face for a few days as opposed to having cover-up or concealer on it.

5. Sleep
We all know that it is good for our bodies to get a good night's sleep. It'll help your skin too! Just make sure to clean your face of all the day's oils before going to sleep. You don't want to marinate in the grease all night long.

6. Diet
A diet doesn't mean eating less food or losing weight. "Diet" means the type of food you eat and what you eat. If you're having a bad skin month or week or even day, you might want to consider putting down the pizza for awhile and go for food that hasn't been fried or dipped in delicious oil. Remember, I say this not because I'm judging but because I eat a lot of pizza!

Disclaimer: I am not a professional, I have not done any research on this subject. This is all just my personal opinions.

Social Media - How to Internet

Social Media

This is the first of my “How to Internet” series.

We all use social media, and we all spend way too much time on it. A lot of people I know actually delete all their accounts before major exams. And then they reactivate it afterwards.  I however, cannot live without it. I feel like I would be so bored without social. Here are some of the more popular social media these days:

Tumblr – Don’t have one, never will. First time I found out about it, I didn't really want to get one because I knew I would only repost stuff. Because all I looked at were Glee and Disney pages and I'd get pretty obsessive over it. Back when I used Firefox, I would just leave all the tabs of tumblrs I was following open and then refresh them a few times a day. Whenever I discover a new page, I will go through their first 100 pages or to the point where they changed tastes. (I would occasionally just go on the tumblr website and type in a topic and look at it.)

Instagram – Artsy pictures, food pictures, and selfies. The basic description of Instagram. Occasionally I will suddenly get really into it and just check every hour. But usually I just pick a few users that I really like and just check them out/refresh their page every few days. Overall the accounts I follow consist of: Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Disney, a lot of Disney, artists, food people, fashion people, toys people, nails people, accounts of those services that send you monthly boxes like food or nail polish, Youtubers, people who sell things from Tokyo Disney, celebrities, and friends. I really hate going to a page and seeing all selfies. That's how I decide whether or not to follow back someone who is following me. And on my Tigger account, I only follow Disney related accounts.

Twitter – I used to not understand it but now I’m using it a lot. I have one for youtube and networking and one for personal use (that I don’t check at all but I do get notifications in my email and phone.) Twitter is great for censoring yourself because you are limited to 140 characters. But it may lead to dumb and grammatically incorrect sentences. I also have parameters for following people back. If I see a person's most recent tweets are just retweets, I will most definitely mute retweets or just not follow them. I think twtter is a good place to express yourself while being clever with the character limits. I'm able to keep my grammar passable even when I am limited. You should too.
I've been telling all my friends "Don't even bother texting me, reach me by Facebook or Twitter"

Facebook – I used to play a lot a lot a lot of Facebook games. Now I play about one or two at a time and I get obsessed on and off. At the moment it’s all about Mob Wars. For a while it was Disney Hidden Worlds. I generally hate hidden object games but it was Disney so I had to. Unfortunately, Disney closed down the game. There's no more updates and I finished the game so there’s nothing else to do. Now I just use Facebook for messaging and posing things to friends. At this moment, I'm more focused on my Youtube and my Twitter. My friends don't really know that I've been doing Youtube so I just keep those away from them by using my public facebook page (not to be confused with my personal facebook profile) and my public twitter.

Myspace (jk) – haha yeah I never understood how to use that because I didn’t know how to customize my page all cool and stuff. So nope not talking about it anymore

Youtube – I am obsessed! Can’t stop. I don’t even…all day...all night…who needs sleep…

Those are my interpretation of some of the social media out there. Check back soon for the next installment of “How to Internet”. It will come with a video!

Baking: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Over the winter break, I was feeling quite domestic and decided to bake some cookies. The first thing I baked was these chocolate chip cookies. Here's the video of me baking and the recipe will be copy & pasted right underneath.
This is the recipe that I used: Link

Note: It ended up being 16 cookies and I didn't start preheating the oven until I was done mixing everything. By the time I finished spooning the first 12 cookies, the oven was done preheating. I left the first 12 cookies in the oven a little longer than 10 so that the 4 extra cookies could cook completely. Those 4 ended up coming out perfectly. They were crispy and crunchy on the outside and moist and soft on the inside (like a perfect brownie). Next time I make this, I will probably put less chocolate chips and more cinnamon.

This is for 12 servings

Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon hot water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
4. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt.
5. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts.
6. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans. (There is enough butter in the mixture to not need grease)
7. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.

Crafts: Stitch Painting

Hey guys, the video you are about to watch is a how-I-did-it of a Stitch decoration that I made for my friend for our Secret Santa exchange. Keep scrolling down for instructions.

Here is the video:

1. First, I printed out an image of Stitch that I found online and used a pencil to transfer the image from the paper onto the blank canvas. I did this step first so that I could see what it would look like on the canvas and if it looked bad, I could just erase it and reposition it without messing up everything.
2. Then I used color pencils and drew all over the canvas. You can do this however you want but I drew a line framing each corner of the canvas. This results in having four lines for each of the colors used. In hindsight, it would have looked better if I had used the darker colors on the outside as opposed to the lighter colors. (Because the dark colors go right through his face.)
2.5 This is a failed step, I tried to color the Stitch blue (on my computer) using Paint on my computer. The blue ink didn't transfer onto the canvas like I had hoped.
3. I took some artistic liberties and shaded in some of the shapes with grey. It didn't really show up that much because the grey was so light and I couldn't chose an actual color in case it clashed with the nearby lines.(Picture below)
4.Instead of the failed step, I put tape on the back of the printed image so that the paper would be stronger and then I cut out the shape of the head. With this, I was able to use it as a stencil and paint a blue color around the border to form an outline.
5. The last thing I did was by recommendation by some people online. I colored in the face by mixing acrylic paint with water. Acrylic paint is usually very opaque and won't blend if painted on so I had to thin it out and turn it into a water color of sorts so that it still seemed light and natural when it showed up on the canvas.
You can see the final product in the video. Let me know what you guys thought about this and how I could have made it look better. I might want to create one for myself some time in the future.
Below are some pictures for reference.

Here is the image that I used for the project:

Thanksgiving Weekend

Hey guys, so Thanksgiving weekend was great. I have to say this was one of the nicest Thanksgiving holidays I've ever had. There were multiple family dinners, lots of family time, a lot of family talks and laughs.  We talked about my mom's eating habits when she was young and it was the funniest thing ever, my sister and I were rolling on the floor laughing
And I even went shopping! Yes I know, I know. I hate shopping, I made a rant about not liking to shop especially not Black Friday Shopping. But we did go. I ended up separating from my family and going off on my own because I'm actually faster by myself. I went to every single corner of the mall and went into all the non-brand name stores. Ended up with two sweaters. In reality I went on a Christmas Sweater hunt and got barely close to it. Does this count?

But I also found out that I might have to be alone the week leading up to starting school in January. I think I might just go to Disneyland. My winter break between Fall and Winter quarter is only two weeks long and my parents and sister decide to go to Denmark without me. I'm going to be in my house by myself yay

December Trip

My parents and I took a trip up to Northern California in December to help my sister move her things. Here's a video I made of the trip! Most of it is driving though.

We went to: Sacramento, Sheraton Grand hotel, the convention center across the street, Old Town Sacramento, Napa Valley, a winery, and Auberge du Soleil (restaurant)

I'll be posting a blog post with the food that we ate at the restaurant soon,

Nail Polish Review: Julep's Zelda

Nail Polish Review: Julep's Zelda #3282

Since I've been at school constantly for the past few months, I haven't really had time to paint my nails. But now that it's winter break, I thought I'd try a festive color I've never used before! This here is Zelda by Julep. The really great thing about Julep is that they can send you a box with two to three colors each month if you sign up for their Maven program. I feel like the price is not that bad and sometimes they include products such as cuticle oil or quick drying top coat! (Not sponsored, I just love it.) I would definitely sign up again some time soon!

[I would like to apologize in advance for how gross and wrinkly my hands look. I hadn't moisturized yet that morning because I jumped out of bed to record/capture some things for this blog.]

This color here (pictured left - click to enlarge) is a beautiful shimmery rosy-gold color. I have been using the technique of applying thin layers until opaque and it goes on so smooth. I also didn't use a top coat because I like to know how well a polish stands up to normal "wear-and-tear" so to say. That and I don't have a good one top coat. The ones that I do have either drags the color or makes it seem duller.

This here is after about a week of having it on with one touch-up in between because of how quickly my nails grow. There were barely any chips (as you can probably tell) and it was just the tips that would come off but nothing major or embarrassing.
Note: I have removed the polish since taking these pictures and in my opinion, this color is quite easy to remove (if you know how).

My method for removing polish is to cut strips of cotton and dip them into the remover. Dip and set them one by one on your nail - make sure it touches all the edges of the polish. By the time you get to the fifth finger, the first one will be ready. You can grab another cotton pad if you don't want to harm your hand, or you can just do it bare like I do: Just simply press down on the soaked pad and slide it off your nail. 99% of the polish should have come off in the process. To get the bits you missed after using this method, you can just use a cotton swab (q-tip) or cotton pad/bud dipped in remover for that final touch-up.

Make sure to always wash your hands and to moisturize after using polish remover because the chemicals will dry your skin!

Overall thoughts on the polish:
This color is great and very festive. Perfect for a party or get-together with friends. I certainly got quite a couple of compliments on it. It's one of those colors that people will definitely notice!

After finding the product on the website, I saw that it says it's a "pink champagne metallic," this means I was correct in thinking that the color looked quite rose gold-ish. My favorite color of gold!

Please note: I get no benefit from you signing up, I just want to 'share the wealth" of this cool program. I personally love subscription boxes that arrive in the mail once or twice a month.
